18th Century Louis XV Parquetry Bonheur du Jour

A double-sided 18th-century gilt bronze-mounted Bonheur du jour, elegantly paneled with herringbone parquetry in kingwood and amaranth. The kidney-shaped top features a frieze drawer and an opposing faux drawer, flanked by two cabinet doors that enclose a shelf. The desk is richly adorned with ornate gilt bronze acanthus leaf mounts and rests on graceful cabriole legs terminating in gilt bronze sabots.
