This lost-wax bronze Buddha, despite its small size (12 cm), is very heavy because it is practically solid. The casting process was laborious, as evidenced by the numerous casting flaws that were filled afterward. The most significant missing piece is on the right side of the face; part of the cheek and the entire ear were missing and were completed immediately after casting. The left hand is missing some phalanges. In the palm, a square hole, originally mortised, indicates that a vase or bowl was attached to the hand with a tenon. It is normal for bronzes from this period to have casting flaws. It is extremely rare to find a Burmese statuette from this period on the market. It is in good condition, with a magnificent bronze patina. The nose is slightly flattened. Height: 12 cm
