Elegant hemispherical bowl in Meissen porcelain, created circa 1745, richly decorated and enhanced with an ornamental gilt metal mount.
The luminous and glossy white ground, characteristic of Meissen porcelain, features a hand-painted decoration in the famous Meissen purple. At the center unfolds a floral bouquet composed of roses and stylized flowers, treated with subtle gradations and a delicate hazy effect. The execution reveals great mastery in both detail and pictorial nuance.
The piece rests on a circular gilt bronze foot and is distinguished by two lateral handles sculpted in the form of serpents. Their sinuous bodies rise elegantly toward the rim, creating an ensemble that is both refined and theatrical. The upper edge is highlighted by a delicate gilt beaded frieze, emphasizing the finesse of the object.
