A Dutch Louis Quinze desk

A Dutch Louis XV bureau veneered with rosewood, satinwood and a rim of amaranth on the fall front. The veneer is placed in quarters creating multiple diamond shapes in the bottom half of the bureau. The bureau standing on cabriole legs. The drawers and fall front are adorned with gilded floral and asymmetrical escutcheons. The top section’s drop front folds down to serve as a writing surface. The interior consists of multiple drawers and compartments with in the middle a venetian blind door.
