Furniture Port, crystal chandeliers
Rare small solid mahogany scribanne commode with a serpentine front, opening with a fall-front and three drawers arranged in three rows. The fall-front reveals an interior with secret compartments, fitted with pigeonholes and drawers framed by two small doors with undulating moldings.
The lower rails are molded and shaped, the front feet are scroll-shaped, and the back panels are made of oak.
Original period bronze escutcheons and ring handles.
Nantes craftsmanship, second half of the 18th century.
Very fine state of preservation, with conservation restorations carried out by an experienced cabinetmaker and a waxed finish.
