This set includes a covered round ecuelle and its circular stand, made of hard-paste porcelain with a rose-pink ground. The borders are decorated with gilded foliate scrolls and floral motifs, and the center of the stand features a symmetrical rosace design, reflecting the neoclassical style of the late 18th century.
Traces of the factory mark in gilding are visible on the underside of the stand, including the crowned interlaced “LL” monogram and the date letter “KK”, indicating the year 1787. The piece is signed “LG”, identifying the painter as Le Guay, a decorator active at the Sèvres manufactory in the second half of the 18th century, known for his border work.
Length: 18.6 cm; width of ecuelle (with handles) approx. 14 cm; height with lid approx. 10 cm.
Condition: Minor wear at the center of the stand; overall in good condition.
