Empire Astronomy clock with two readers

Extraordinary Empire clock based on a model resulting from the collaboration of Claude Galle (1759-1815) and Jean André Reiche (1752-1817).

This clock is known as the “Astronomy lesson clock” with double reader. The image is of two women studying face-to-face in an armillary sphere. The base is decorated with attributes and stands on a green marble. The timepiece is signed by Jacouin; Rue Montmartre (Jacouin Joseph, Rue Montmartre 1810-1812).
