Animal figure in calcite or calcified alabaster. Could have been a gaming piece. A somewhat similar animal figure in style and stone (although it was a pig) has been offered for sale in Hotel de Ventes de Monaco in the sale of July 17th 2022 (lot 288): it was described as ‘Jemdet Nasr, 3300-2900 BC’ Link: ‘https://hvmc.com/archeologie-6/vase-zoomorphe-2/
Slightly curved. Feels nice in the hand. Dimensions: 5x4x1cm.
