The Hallstatt culture is an archaeological culture of west-central Europe that developed between approximately 1200 and 450 BC. J.-C.

Region - north of the Alps in present-day Czechia, Bavaria, and northern Austria. This culture is generally considered by historians to be the cradle of the Celtic peoples.

The Hallstatt culture takes its name from an archaeological site that is located in Hallstatt, in the Salzkammergut region of Austria.
