Émile Eisman Semenowsky (born Émile Eismann in Petrograd on 19 September 1853 and died in Paris 14e on 31 July 1918) was a French-Polish-Russian painter. He is mainly known for his orientalist paintings of women, more precisely the one of Algeria in 1890, where he highlights everyday and traditional elements such as the outfits of Algerian women in their homes.
