Small secretary by Jean-François Hache

Magnificent little secretary in solid cherry wood inlaid and veneered with natural or tinted native woods.
The two doors as well as the flap are inlaid with subtle and elegant geometric decorations that can also be found on the sides: rosewood-veneered frame and adorned with two oval gray beech reserves as well as a rectangular central reserve in sycamore, the whole underlined by nets of ebony, boxwood and amaranth.
Inside we will notice seven drawers of different lengths and heights as frequently made by Jean-François Hache. We will also notice a variety of satin wood, green tinted sycamore, dark linden, ebony fillets, creating an original animation of the box by participating in the game of full and empty drawers and lockers.
The interior also hides two secret drawers with ingenious manipulations
Another particularity of the Hache workshops is the thickness of the flap at the level of the two pivots in order to reinforce its solidity.
The very beautiful proportions, the quality and the elegance of the geometric decorations, the choice of fruit woods alongside the beautiful natural or green-tinted sycamore burls ... are a strong testimony to the furniture achievements of the illustrious Grenoble cabinetmaker Jean-François Chopped.
To authenticate this attribution, is present, in an interior drawer, the label of Jean-François Hache cabinetmaker in Grenoble - 1771 (Label VII - ref: book of Pierre and Françoise Rouge - le Génie des Hache)
This charming little piece of furniture is topped with a pink gray marble.
