Exceptional beautiful rare large French pendulum, model attributed to the famous French bronze sculptor Claude Galle (1759-1815), inspired by the painting of Jacques Louis David (1748 -1825) representing Madame Récamier. Signed with Champion a Paris, Rue de la Feuillade ( 1810-1820). Bronze gilded with mercury, the bronze is very finely chiselled.
The clock is in good working condition and comes with a pendulum and key.
