Carrier Belleuse - Barbotine ceramic sculpture with duck and ducklings

Very rare and exceptional barbotine sculpture by Louis Robert Carrier Belleuse (1848-1913)

Brother of the painter Pierre Carrier Belleuse (a painting of the latter shows Robert in his workshop sculpting and we can see the duck and ducklings sculpture, sale of the painting at Christie’s the 21th of june 2011 painting dated 1894, which gives an idea of the realization of the work)

and son of the sculptor Albert Ernest Carrier Belleuse of whom he was the student.



He was artistic director of the factory of Choisy le Roi
