Albatross on the Wave – Large Model

Important silvered bronze sculpture depicting an albatross resting on a wave. The cast is signed and bears the foundry mark of Susse Frères, together with the inscription “cire perdue” (lost-wax casting).

The bronze stands on a varnished wooden base bearing a commemorative plaque stating that it was presented to Lieutenant Bellonte by the Le Havre Flying Club and the people of Le Havre on 24 October 1930, upon his return to France.
