Delightful small white marble column fragment. Elegantly decorated with swaying foliage and flowers. Overall adorned with tiny drilled relief holes. The drill holes are left as an intentional part of the finished piece. This technique was already used in Roman times but was also popular in medieval Tuscany. On a plexiglas stand. Length without stand 24 cm. With stand: 31cm. Diameter of round column: 8cm. Diameter of square capital: 10cm. Wear and chipping consistent with the age.
