Small mahogany Secrétaire circa 1780

Small mahogany and mahogany veneer secretary with marble top, Louis XVI period.
Lower than usual, this small secretary with flap measures only 96 cm high. It is topped by a marble top which gives it the appearance of a piece of furniture at the height of the support.

The case is quadrangular, with cut sides, punctuated by moldings running through the mahogany. The flap opens on a few shelves and two drawers, as well as, naturally, on a tray covered with morocco.

The box surmounted by two doors which, like the whole piece of furniture, are covered with very beautiful mahogany leaves from Cuba.
