Louis XV period secrétaire stamped J. BIRCKLÉ, with rosewood marquetry framed by sinuous kingwood borders.
Slightly curved at the front, it opens with a leather-lined fall-front revealing six small drawers and compartments, three large drawers in the lower section, and an ogee-shaped drawer beneath the marble top.
Simple gilt bronze mounts.
18th-century red marble top.
