Rare Louis XVI period secrétaire in mahogany with ebony stringing. This piece, of exceptionally fine cabinetmaking quality (entirely constructed on an oak carcass and fitted with a bronze trefoil lock), features an interior arrangement of eleven drawers and a compartment with doors containing three drawers. The writing height of the fall-front is 75 cm.
The front and rear uprights are fluted and mounted with brass. A very rare piece in terms of quality, intended for connoisseurs of exceptional cabinetmaking.
The piece has been entirely restored using traditional methods. More information available upon request.
