A magnificent pair of French Louis XVI-style candelabras, made of white marble and richly adorned with finely chiseled gilded bronze. Each candelabrum features an elegant, classically shaped vase in white marble, topped with a sumptuous bouquet of roses in gilded bronze. The delicately intertwined branches, adorned with finely sculpted leaves, buds, and blooming roses, form a floral arrangement of great finesse. The open flowers form the candle holders designed to hold the candles. The vases are richly decorated with gilded bronze mounts, including floral garlands, knotted ribbons, scroll-shaped handles, and delicate ornamental friezes. Each vase rests on a circular pedestal and a square white marble base, adorned with gilded bronze laurel wreaths and supported by small, finely crafted feet. The harmony of the proportions, the richness of the floral decoration, and the refined contrast between the whiteness of the marble and the brilliance of the gilding attest to the elegance of 19th-century French decorative arts. A remarkable pair of candelabra, combining the classical refinement of the Louis XVI style with the romantic charm of floral compositions. France, 19th century. Dimensions: Height 64 cm × Width 33 cm × Depth 33 cm.
