Superb hunting buffet or paneled buffet in solid oak, Louis XV period, dating from the 18th century, presenting very fine quality of craftsmanship and proportions.
The piece opens at the front with two doors richly molded, adorned with shaped panels featuring sinuous curves typical of the Louis XV taste.
The façade is highlighted by an elegant central rail decorated with sculpted circular medallions, adding rhythm and refinement to the whole.
The lower apron, cut and sinuous, rests on cabriole legs at the front, characteristic of furniture from this period.
The sides are also paneled and molded, demonstrating careful workmanship on all visible faces.
The wood displays a magnificent oak grain, enhanced by a warm patina in honey and amber tones, revealing all the charm and authenticity of the 18th century.
The top is fitted with a molded marble slab, a traditional element of hunting buffets, offering both elegance and functionality.
The piece bears the stamp of Nicolas Duval (received Master on August 11, 1743), a renowned cabinetmaker of the 18th century, which further enhances its historical interest and value for collectors of antique furniture.
