A two-part walnut cabinet, 18th century, Louis XV style. The upper section opens with two glazed doors, ideal for displaying collectibles. The doors are richly molded and carved with acanthus leaves, flowers, and foliage in the upper section. The lower section opens with two molded framed doors. The false doorpost is fixed. The lower rail is carved with a shell and flowers. The snail feet are surmounted by acanthus leaf carvings. The sides are paneled. Provenance: Lyon, Rhône Valley. A very fine piece of furniture.
