Pair of 19th-century holy water fonts mounted in basins

24k gold leaf gilt shell, chased gilt bronze, faux marble wood.

These mounted objects consist of a holy water font valve fixed to a bronze base openwork with flowers and faun masks.

The interior of the font is gilded.

Condition: I purchased these objects in poor condition. The blue marble plaque between the base and the font was broken, and the central stem was oxidized.
The gold on the valve was significantly worn.
This pair has been completely restored. A trompe-l'oeil lapis lazuli wooden plaque replaces the marble plaque, a new central stem is installed, and the gilding has been redone with gold leaf.

Dimensions:
Height: 23 cm and 22 cm, Length: 37 cm and 37 cm, Depth: 26 cm and 26 cm, Base diameter: 28 cm.
