Exceptional Pair of Chinese Export Porcelain wine Coolers
Yongzheng Period (1723–1735), ordered between 1730–1734
Decorated in famille rose enamels with the arms of Nicolas IV de Neufville, Duke of Retz, Marquis of Alincourt, and 3rd Duke of Villeroy (1730–1734), Knight of the Order of Saint Louis (1701) and of the Order of the Holy Spirit (1724).
This previously unrecorded service is one of the very few known to have been produced in China under the Yongzheng Emperor, alongside that of King Louis XV.
