A. Gory (1895-1925)A large and pretty early 20th century Italian Carrara marble bust of a beautiful lady Signed: A. Gory Paris Affortunato Gory (1895-1925) was a Franco-Italian artist specializing in sculpture figurative in Art Deco style. Born in 1895 in Florence, Italy. He emigrated to France after his studies and exhibited several times at the Salon des Artistes Français. In his refined craftsmanship, he combined materials such as bronze, ivory and marble to dazzling effect. He died in 1925.
