The Madonna della Seggiola is a very famous oil painting on wood (diameter 71 cm) by Raffaello Sanzio, datable to around 1513-1514 and preserved in the Palatine Gallery of Palazzo Pitti in Florence.
It has been in the Medici collections since the first half of the sixteenth century and, judging by the format of the panel, it was certainly intended for a private location.
The work takes its name from the chamber chair on which Mary is sitting with the Child in her arms.
One of the features of the painting sees both protagonists turning towards the viewer, but while Mary looks straight ahead, the Child appears to be looking further away. The scene is witnessed by the young Saint John, on the right, who emerges from the dark background and addresses a gesture of prayer to Mary.

She bends her head towards her son by touching her two heads and creating a situation of intimate family sweetness. Behind the formal beauty there is a very complex geometric composition scheme, designed to be perfectly inserted in a circular support.

Extremely accurate are the details, which make it a work of great formal refinement.
Its great visual richness make the work "undoubtedly one of the greatest masterpieces of Renaissance art".

Its notoriety and extraordinary ability to attract the viewer have made it the most famous devotional painting and taken up by artists from all over Europe.
Our work, of remarkable beauty, is a splendid replica of Raphael's famous masterpiece, performed by a valid master in the early 1800s.
Of a good size, as well as of excellent workmanship, it is in excellent condition and is enhanced by the important coeval gilded frame, which makes it particularly pleasant when placed on the wall.
