Pair Of « Pots Pourri » circa 1780

Each potpourri has a triangular base with arched edges and projections.
The body of the potpourri rests on three lion paws and a central twist.
The feet end in drooping berries.
The cover adorned with a vegetal floret turns around to reveal a binet decorated with guillochages.
The bronze crown that supports the lid is pierced with a frieze of cutouts for use in potpourri. Usually the reversible casseroles are only used as lighting, with a second use the models are rare.
We are in the quality of delicate carving and a sobriety typical of the time.

height : 25,5 cm with top, 24 cm in torch
