Pair Of Louis XVI Period Bronze Vases Attributed To François Rémond (1747-1

A pair of silvered bronze ovoid-bodied vases, integrally mounted with very finely chased and mercury-gilded bronzes.
Each vase rests on a fluted piedouche and an octagonal base adorned with ormolu rosettes.
The body is girded with ormolu garlands of flowers and foliage, with scrolled scroll handles adorned with faun masks.
The openwork latticework lid is surmounted by a pine cone. French work of the Louis XVI period attributed to Bronzier François REMOND (1747-1812).
François Rémond frequently worked in collaboration with the famous Ciseleur-Doreur Pierre GOUTHIERE for the no less famous Marchand Mercier Dominique DAGUERRE.
