A pair of elephants serving as candelabra, made of Kangxi-period Blanc de Chine porcelain with a slightly milky ivory glaze.
Each elephant is mounted by a mahout seated on its back.
A superb, very finely chased and gilded bronze mount from the Louis XV period, consisting of a Rocaille-style scrollwork base on four volute feet with floral scrolls, and a three-armed lampshade in brown-patinated bronze, with acanthus and oak foliage, leaf-shaped candle holders, and candle holders in very finely chiseled and gilded bronze.
The bronzes display a quality of chiseling and mercury gilding of exceptional beauty.
