Offered by Antiquités Garnier
These rare vases are modeled after the ornamental vases of the Louis XVI period. The square base, with its grooved reserve, supports a richly decorated foot adorned with a frieze of leaves and garlands. The body is made of oven-blue porcelain, with its molded, raised, and gilded rings (which I do not have), but the exceptional quality of the bronze and the oven-blue glaze justify an attribution to Sèvres. The handles are two intertwined serpents holding garlands of flowers in their mouths. The neck is decorated with a laurel frieze. The vase demonstrates the elegant quality and meticulous detail revealed by the perfect chasing of the 18th century.
The vase's fixing nut is quatrefoil, a typical feature of the Ancien Régime.
State :
Very good condition, beautiful gilding, one vase is intact, the second was repaired formerly, we will simply note an imperfection in the pearls and a varnish on parts of the porcelain, of course this is only visible by detailing the repair .
