Pair of small Satsuma ceramic baluster vases, kiku-shaped side handles.
Enameled and gilded decoration, composed of numerous reserves animated by characters.
Signed Hattori.

Hattori (Fuku Bu) was a painter of the Chinzan school who had great success in applying new colors of glazes on pieces that were always of high quality.
Good condition, minimal chip on a collar.
Height, about 11.5 cm
Japan, Meiji period.
