Important Japanese cloisonne vase by Ando Jubei

This large cloisonné enamel vase—measuring an unusually substantial 35 cm—features a delicately rendered design of clematis flowers set against a deep green background. A hallmark on the underside of the base identifies it as the work of the Ado Jubei workshops, which were highly regarded for the quality of their cloisonné pieces. Additionally, a mark on the vase’s neck confirms the use of pure silver.
