Magic lantern

Empire period clock in patinated bronze and gilt bronze depicting Cupid, with glass eyes, carrying a "magic lantern" where the movement is housed; the dial is surrounded by a series of blue enamelled plates. The preparatory drawing of this clock is by the famous Parisian bronze artist Jean Simon DEVERBERIE. The dial is signed "Noseda à Marseille". France. Empire. HxL 46x24 cm.
