Large 19th century clock, signed VINCENTY

White marble, the base highlighted by a wide frieze of gilded bronze leaves.
It rests on four round foliage feet.
Original wire movement, revised by specialist, sold with operating guarantee.

Movement signed on the back Vincenty and Co. silver medal
Jean Vincenty born in Corsica in 1786, then went to work in Switzerland at Japy brothers where it manufactures repeater watches his invention.
He founded the Society Vincenty and Co. in Montbeliard.
First sold in Paris and in the Jura its products reach customers in Switzerland, Belgium, England and the United States.
He is rewarded with exhibitions of Paris in: 1834.1839, 1844, 1849, 1855, 1867.
