Pendule "Titus Tatius" vers 1820

Titus Tatius, armed with his shield and sword, was, in ancient Roman tradition, the king of the Sabine settlement on the Quirinal Hill.
The pendule is crafted from fire-gilded bronze and patinated bronze.
The clock mechanism rests on a column decorated with military insignia and drapery.
The whole stands on a rectangular base featuring a decoration of war motifs in low relief, a frieze with water leaves and four flattened legs.

This decorative pendule is signed on the dial: ‘Labbe, rue St Honore no 252’, and features the original movement, with the pendulum suspended from a silk thread and striking mechanism for the full and half hours.
