European Works of Art from the Middle Ages to the XVIIIth century
Beautiful and large Renaissance dish with gadroons and foliage patterns, decorated in the center with a running hare in profile, the reverse being decorated with concentric lines.
In very good condition, it shows wear to the enamel on the edges typical of its age, as well as a small superficial hairline crack in the center, which was brush-coated at the back before the final firing to stabilize it. Old post-coctem hole. On the back, an old auction house label from "Durán S.A." with an inventory number, likely dating from the 1970s–1980s.
Presented on a metal support for wall mounting.
Origin: Seville, circa 1500–1530
