The Holy Family on their way to Egypt in a medieval European landscape. Great details (rocks, trees, city walls, fortifications) in the scenery where a charming peasant is busy weeding and planting his vegetables completely unaware of the fact that the Son of God is travelling through his fields. This strongly reminds us of the famous “The Fall of Icarus” painting by Brueghel (“Museum of Fine Arts” in Brussels), where a peasant is so concentrated on ploughing his field, that he is unaware of the fact that Icarus is falling from the sky and drowning in the sea nearby. Well, I guess we all have our priorities…
