Pair of miniature bust portraits in profile of Marie-Thérèse de France, Duchess of Angoulême and Dauphine of the Kingdom of France, and Marie-Caroline Ferdinande Louise de Bourbon, Princess of the Two Sicilies, better known by her title of Duchess of Berry, wife of Charles-Ferdinand d’Artois, Duke of Berry, second son of King Charles X and father of Henri V, also known as the Comte de Chambord.
White biscuit porcelain on a blue ground in the manner of Wedgwood. Sèvres manufacture, Restoration period. The miniatures are presented in a palmette frame, rectangular with oval sight, from the Empire-Restoration period, gilded with matte and burnished gold leaf.
An interesting Royalist historical souvenir in very good condition. Beautiful colors. Gold-leaf gilding cleaned by our gilder.
