These elegant gilt bronze wall lights are from the Louis XVI period. They have two light arms; the upper section supports a fire pot adorned with a garland, while the lower part ends in a seed motif.
The undersides of the drip pans are shaped like petals, and the candle sockets are fluted. The gilt varnish, which has retained a very fine brilliance, is slightly worn on the raised areas. Very small holes have been drilled in the drip pans between the petals to allow very fine electrical wires to pass through; they are almost invisible.
18th century period.
