Offered by Étienne de Roissart
Elegant marquise made by a Parisian workshop in the 18th century. Marquise seats from the Louis XV period are relatively uncommon, becoming more widespread mainly during the reign of Louis XVI.
The carved woodwork, finished in a white patina and decorated with acanthus leaves, foliage, and small floral motifs, displays particularly refined craftsmanship.
The upholstery has been executed using traditional techniques, with elegant padding throughout. The large feather-filled cushion provides a comfortable seat. The chair is covered in a luminous champagne-colored silk damask fabric showing a few minor signs of wear, barely visible.
