Highly refined neoclassical gueridon of the late 19th century

Crafted in richly veneered mahogany and adorned with exceptionally finely chased and gilt bronze mounts. The circular top in dark marble is supported by an elegant frieze decorated with repeating classical motifs, interspersed with rosettes in high relief.

The three slender, gently tapering legs feature vertical veneer panels and are embellished with gilt bronze appliques in the form of floral garlands. At the upper section, they are surmounted by finely sculpted female busts in gilt bronze, a characteristic motif of the Empire period. The legs are joined by a triangular stretcher with a central ring, providing both structural stability and visual lightness.

A particularly elegant piece, distinguished by its balance, refinement, and high level of craftsmanship.
