Offered by Étienne de Roissart
Sculpture by Jean-Christophe Couradin (France, 1961–), created in the late 20th century, in Mozambique ebony. The head opens into several compartments, one of which features wood marquetry, while two others open as storage/box spaces. Mozambique ebony is an exotic African wood from the Fabaceae family, also known as grenadilla due to its dense, lustrous wood with distinctive reflections.
