European Works of Art from the Middle Ages to the XVIIIth century
Wonderful heraldic tile in superb condition, depicting the coat of arms of the city of Valencia, probably originating from the former 'Casa de la Ciudad' (Townhall), demolished in the 19th century. Lozenge-shaped, it displays at its center two vertical pales surmounted by a crown, framed by a border of tendrils with slender stems bearing leaves and dots.
