Ivory Christ - France, 18th Century

This beautiful 18th-century ivory Christ is mounted on a plexiglass cross (H. 40.5 cm; W. 27 cm). It is finely sculpted, particularly the crown of thorns and the face, whose expression shows a certain serenity in the face of suffering.
