Delphin Massier, Duck And Ducklings, Polychrome Ceramic Slipware

This polychrome glazed ceramic by Delphin Massier, created circa 1890, depicts a duck accompanied by its ducklings in a naturalistic scene filled with gentleness and movement. The adult duck, placed at the center of the composition, stands out for the precision of its modeling and the quality of the glazes, with subtle shades of green, blue, and ochre.
