Chinese porcelain Kangxi 5-piece garniture set, Qing dynasty

A Chinese five-piece garniture set, c. 1690, Kangxi period (1661-1722), Qing dynasty (1644-1912).

The set consisting of two beaker vases (gu) and three baluster vases with original lids. All five vases with a beautiful hand-painted underglaze blue & white decoration of plants, flowers and rocky outcroppings.

The three lidded vases are marked with artemisia leaf on the bottom, the two beaker vases are unmarked.

The five vases we listed are not from the Vung Tau shipwreck but identical garniture vases have been found in the Vung Tau (hence the precise dating of 1690), see:

Condition:
-One of the lidded vases in pristine condition; both vase and lid.
- One of the lidded vases in pristine condition, the lid with a hairline on the side and a missing button - a brown wooden button of the same form has been installed in its place.
- One of the beaker vases in pristine condition except for a tiny chip at the bottom - along the inner edge with what looks like a hairline, but it is not (firing error).
- One of the lidded vases has a hairline crack - the lid in pristine condition.
- One of the beaker vases with two chips and three edge frits at the top - one chip on the bottom.
