Wolfers – Pair of Art Deco Low Solid Silver Candelabra

An elegant pair of low solid silver candelabra, each composed of three arched arms rising from a central stem surmounted by a fourth light. The perfectly polished circular candle cups create a subtle play of light and delicately reflect their surroundings. The base, consisting of a geometric glass plinth with slightly greenish reflections, lends the ensemble a contemporary touch and a great visual lightness.
The contrast between the gleaming metal and the transparency of the glass particularly highlights the precision of the lines and the silversmith's craftsmanship. The whole piece exudes harmony, balance, and masterful craftsmanship.

Bibliography: Philippe Wolfers (1858–1929), grandson of the founder, was a major artist of the Art Nouveau movement. A sculptor, designer, and silversmith, he created exquisitely crafted jewelry and silverware, often inspired by nature and symbolism. His creations, now sought after by collectors and museums, are among the masterpieces of European silversmithing.
The Wolfers company subsequently evolved towards more Art Deco, then modernist, designs during the 20th century, while maintaining its commitment to quality. She manufactures decorative objects as well as silverware, religious silverware, and more.
