C. Christofle Pair of Table End Candelabra, Solid Silver, 19th Century

An elegant pair of solid silver table end candelabra, each with five candle arms, resting on a curved, canted base. The base, baluster stem, and candle holders are richly chased with Regency-style decoration. The entire piece is lavishly adorned with chased motifs of scrolling foliage and cartouches, demonstrating exceptional craftsmanship. A work by Charles Christofle, a leading figure in 19th-century Parisian silversmithing, this pair perfectly illustrates the historicist taste of the period, offering a refined reinterpretation of early 18th-century forms.
