Gustave ODIOT – 19th Century Neoclassical Solid Silver Centerpiece
Impressive round bowl on a pedestal, in the neoclassical Directoire style, adorned with a finely chiseled decoration of garlands, palmettes, and ribbons. The double-scrolled side handles frame a simple and elegant bowl, highlighted by a frieze of pearls and flowers. The removable silver-plated interior is original and also bears the signature "Odiot à Paris."
This piece demonstrates the refinement and neoclassical rigor characteristic of the work of Gustave Odiot, a prominent representative of the famous Parisian silversmith dynasty at the end of the 19th century. Dimensions: L. 36 cm – D. 28 cm – H. 29.5 cm
