Offered by Emmanuel Redon Silver Fine Art
Silverware and Silversmith of the 19th and 20th centuries
An elegant solid silver centerpiece comprising a planter and its matching centerpiece.
The planter, octagonal in shape with canted corners, rests on a tiered base with clean, geometric lines. Its decoration, entirely based on a play of steps and moldings, perfectly illustrates the Art Deco aesthetic, favoring purity of line and architectural rigor. It is lined with a removable metal insert, allowing for its practical use in floral arrangements.
The centerpiece, with the same octagonal design, features a mirrored top framed by a solid silver border. It rests on an oak base, visible on the reverse, ensuring stability and quality craftsmanship. The ensemble creates an effect of depth and light, the mirror enhancing the piece on display.
This piece, both decorative and functional, showcases the expertise of the Ravinet d’Enfert firm, whose creations from the 1920s and 1930s combine modern forms with exceptional craftsmanship.
