Superb patinated bronze bust representing Salome, the work of the French sculptor Emmanuel Villanis. Signed on the base and bearing the founder's stamp (“SOCIÉTÉ DES BRONZES DE PARIS”). This sculpture illustrates the sensuality and mysticism characteristic of Art Nouveau. The delicate modeling of the face and the fluid movement of the veil reflect Villanis' virtuosity.
